Estevan Oriol is an internationally celebrated professional photographer, director and urban lifestyle entrepreneur. Beginning his career as a hip-hop club bouncer turned tour manager for popular Los Angeles-based rap groups Cypress Hill and House of Pain, Estevan’s passion for photography developed while traveling the world. With an influential nudge and old camera from his father, renowned photographer Eriberto Oriol, Estevan began documenting life on the road and established a name for himself amid the emerging hip-hop scene.

Nearly 20 years later, Oriol’s extensive portfolio juxtaposes the glamorous and gritty planes of LA culture, featuring portraits of famous athletes, artists, celebrities and musicians as well as Latino, urban, gang, and tattoo counterculture lifestyles. He has photographed Al Pacino, Robert Dinero, Dennis Hopper, Marissa Miller, Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, Snoop Dogg, Floyd Mayweather, and Lance Armstrong amongst others. He has also produced shoots for internationally-acclaimed photographers such as Ellen von Unwerth for Sang Bleu and Luca Babini for GQ Italy.

In addition to shooting campaigns for companies including Cadillac, Nike and Rockford Fosgate and directing new media projects for My Cadillac Stories, MetroPCS, MTV and Apple, Estevan has designed album covers and/or directed music videos for artists including Eminem, Cypress Hill, Blink 182, Snoop Dogg and Xzibit.

His work has been showcased in select galleries and institutions—such as Smithsonian Center for Latino Initiatives, Mesa Contemporary Art Center, Petersen Automotive Museum, and The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles’ Art in the Streets exhibit—concluding with a best-selling book of his work: LA Woman, capturing the dangerous and alluring beauty of women shot in his uniquely provocative and raw style. His photography has been featured in Complex, FHM, Juxtapoz, GQ, Vibe, Rolling Stone and other publications, with appearances on popular television shows such as, HBO’s Entourage and Last Call With Carson Daly.

Forza Motorsport 5 Launch at E3 2013

The ID Agency helped to launch the new Forza Motorsport 5 title on the new XBOX One console during the 2013 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). The agency assisted with the planning and production of a special event that included invites to media and automotive influencers, sourcing of display vehicles, creation of Forza Motorsport 5 swag and apparel and custom decals placed on various display and executive transportation vehicles. A collection of exotics from a Nurburgring edition Lexus LF-A, Lamborghini Aventador and a host of modified show vehicles built by automotive tuners were put on display during the event. Each vehicle received custom vinyl decals for maximum exposure for the brand along with extra executive car service Audi’s, McLarens and the star car McLaren P1 that was on display within the Microsoft booth with the convention center. Additionally, two drivers were coordinated to drive McLaren MP4 Spiders throughout the week to give rides to Microsoft execs.

Promotional Forza Motorsport 5 t-shirts, hats, stickers, lanyards and tote bags were designed and produced as gift bags to distribute to event attendees. Double-sided cards and license plate inserts were also created for the event.

Photography and videography was collected by the ID Agency to capture the highlights from the event.

In addition, the agency coordinated and invited media guests to attend a special media tour of the Microsoft booth and see the game firsthand leading to media coverage and reviews for the brand.

Overall, the activation proved successful leaving last impressions for the attendees and having gained automotive media attention through a highly competitive tradeshow week.







2012 SEMA Show Recap

The entire ID Agency staff headed out to Las Vegas, NV last week for the 2012 SEMA Show. With the majority of our clients being present and showcasing their latest products, here is a brief wrap-up of our week.

Formula DRIFT held their annual press conference in front of a large crowd filled teams, drivers and media. The key topics discussed were a new Tire Manufacture Championship, expanded online and TV exposure, a $25,000 Super Drift Challenge and of course, the 2013 Pro Championship season.

If you're a fan of motorsports, high-end cars, car design and rally racing, then the Pirelli booth was the place to be. Throughout the week, visitors were given the opportunity to get a signed Chip Foose and Ken Block autographed poster while being surrounded by everything ranging from a Formula 1 car to a Range Rover. We'd also like to congratulate Pirelli on their Cinturato P7 All-Season Plus tire winning the SEMA Show New Product Award for Best New Tire.

This year, Brembo Brakes brought out a new product to debut, the Club Racing Kit. This particular package is available for most track oriented vehicles such as the BMW M3, Dodge Viper, Ford Mustang, Subaru WRX & BRZ, Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VIII & IX, Scion FR-S and many Porsche models. If you don't already own one of those cars, rest assured  that more applications will be available in the near future. Brembo Brakes also had a large presence outside of their booth by being displayed on countless vehicles throughout the convention center. Pictured above is the Scion FR-S built by Fatlace that was displayed in Scion booth.

Sanctiond Automotive also had a huge announcement to make during the SEMA Show. Fans and media bombarded the booth as Snoop Lion (aka Snoop Dogg) made his way into the booth to announce that he is now a partner and brand ambassador with Mister Cartoon and Sanctiond Automotive. UFC Fighter Rampage Jackson was just one of the many celebrities that stopped by to take part in Snoop's announcement. This is incredible stride for the brand as they continue their success in the automotive car care world.

Another client of ours that had a huge presence was RECARO Automotive. Just about every booth you'd visit and every corner you'd turn, a RECARO seat seemed to be one of the most popular upgrades to a car. It didn't matter if it was a vintage Porsche or a brand new Scion FR-S, RECARO definitely made their mark. Pictured above are just a few of the many cars that were sporting RECARO. First up is the JP Edition Hyundai Veloster Turbo built by our very own John Pangalinan. Following the debut of this car during Hyundai's press conference, John was awarded Hyundai's inaugural President's Choice award for Best SEMA Hyundai Concept. Congratulations John! The next car you see is the new Vorsteiner Porsche 991 built by BBi Autosport that was actually displayed in the Pirelli booth. Last but not least is the Source Interlink Scion FR-S that also had a set of RECARO seats for added safety and style.

SANCTIOND Automotive by Mister Cartoon Launch Event

Mister Cartoon debuted his own brand of car care products with the introduction of SANCTIOND. After collaborating with every brand from Nike, Vans, MetroPCS, Diesel and more, Cartoon has launched his own brand of automotive car care.  Sanctiond offers a complete line of washes, polish, wax, leather cleaner, tire shine and more. Cartoon took his experience from fashion collabs to instill details into every product from the custom drawn art on the bottles and packaging to the special scents of the product.

The ID Agency was brought on to help with this launch and will be the automotive agency of record.  The launch event held in Downtown Los Angeles began with an exclusive media tour of Cartoon's studio / office and home to his collection of vehicles.  Media guests that attended included Hypebeast, Road & Track, DUB, VIBE and many more.  After a Q&A session with Mister Cartoon and Atticus Firey, the brand's CEO, guests were given a tour of the studio.  A few key outlets were also given one-on-one time with Cartoon.

A car show was held in the parking lot of the offices that included cars from Platinum Motorsports and a few of Mister Cartoon's friends.  Afterwards guests were treated to an event at the Factory Lofts next door that was filled with vehicles on display, music from DJ Megan Daniels, food provided by In N Out and Cool haus and was highlighted by a lowrider "hop off."  Many special guests and friends came out to support that included actress Debi Mazar (Entourage), Mena Suvari (American Beauty), MMA fighter Josh Barnett, Tapout's Punkass, Formula DRIFT champion Daijiro Yoshihara, DJ Skee, Jack Rudy, DJ Icey Ice, Nick Diamond (Diamond Clothing), and more.

Ducati 1199 Panigale Release Event

The ID Agency recently worked with Ducati to unveil the new 1199 Panigale. The red carpet event was documented with both photo and video for the brand as they made the North American debut for this stunning new motorcycle. Guests came to Drai's at the W Hollywood and were treated to music from DJ Hapa, a fashion show, and the unveiling of the bike by MotoGP star Nicky Hayden. The video will be released shortly.
