The famed La Carrera Panamericana has come to an end today in the colonial city of Zacatecas, Mexico. This famous event attracts racers with vintage racecars from all over the world. But this year the race also included a team of Ducati’s lead by 2011 Pikes Peak winner Carlin Dunne. The ID Agency film crew has been on the road with Carlin and the other Ducati riders for the past seven days as the team has traveled across Mexico.

The event passes through the heart of the country, a string of impressive mountains and colorful colonial cities. The Mexican Highway Patrol, whose top officers travel with the race, clears the highways for the timed speed runs. Along the way, two million spectators will cheer the competitors along. Each night the race rests in a different city. This year the Pan Am will start in the Pacific resort of Huatulco and stop for the night in Oaxaca, Puebla, Querétaro, Morelia, Guanajuato, Aguascalientes, and Zacatecas. The ID Agency will be releasing a short film based on this year’s event, check back here or Ducati’s Facebook page for the official release date.
