It was over two years ago that Rogue Status met with the ID Agency to discuss motorsports. The leading street fashion brand tasked ID with establishing a Rogue Status motorsports program. ID accomplished this and more by partnering Rogue Status with the SCION drift team for 2008 and entering Rogue Status in the 2008 GUMBALL 3000 Rally which they won the coveted “Spirit of Gumball” award. In 2009, the campaign has grown and Rogue Status now sponsors both of the SCION drift teams, is defending their award on the 2009 GUMBALL 3000 rally and they will launch their own DTA drift team with title sponsor NOS Energy Drink. PUMA has unveiled its much anticipated footwear collaboration with the Gumball 3000 rally. The limited edition version of the iconic Speed Cat shoe will be given to all 2009 Gumball 3000 rally entrants and 200 pairs will be sold online at www.journeys.com. To kick off the 2009 Gumball 3000 and the release of the shoe, PUMA is hosting a VIP media reception at the Santa Monica PUMA store located on the 3rd street Promenade this Wednesday the 29th. The ID Agency has been involved with open wheel racing for many years and is now helping to bring NOS Energy Drink into the fastest motorsport in America. NOS Energy Drink has added Indy 500 Champion and IndyCar Series Champion Dan Wheldon to the Team NOS lineup. The announcement was made on Friday the 17th at the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach of which NOS is the official Energy Drink. To kickoff the new partnership NOS Energy Drink and the ID Agency invited Dan to be an honorary guest at the 1st annual NOS Energy Drink Grand Prix party. NOS Energy Drink and The ID Agency wish Dan continued success in the IndyCar series and for the 2009 Indy 500.

Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach Media Day

The ID Agency managed the media relations for Formula DRIFT during the 2009 Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach. As part of an on-going media outreach initiative KTLA and reporter Gayle Anderson were brought on to feature Formula DRIFT drivers Tanner Foust and Samuel Hubinette. The feature aired live during the lunch broadcast in Southern California on KTLA and promoted the upcoming season opening event.

In addition to KTLA other media outlets that attended the media day for Formula DRIFT included: OC Weekly, The Long Beach Press Telegram, OC Register, Live LB, Long Beach Business Journal, Vimby, The District, Wrecked Magazine, SPEED, Associated Press, Automundo, and more.

The ID Agency Updates Formula DRIFT Website

Formula DRIFT is the premiere drifting series in the world and as an innovative company the website must also be cutting-edge.  For the 2009 Championship season the homepage layout was updated to serve several purposes including: providing the most up to date information and news on the series, provide a channel for ticket sales, and showcase the 2009 schedule.

Added to Formula DRIFT website is a custom video player that will showcase the latest and greatest Formula DRIFT video.   Also added is the addition of social networking links and with Formula DRIFT on top of Web2.0 strategies their fans can now access directly the additional accounts Formula DRIFT has including Vimeo, Twitter, and Facebook.  The home page News slides have been given an updated navigation tool making it very user friendly and including Formula DRIFT Polls, which will be updated monthly.

The Schedule is a very important key element of the site as Formula DRIFT is event driven.  Each event in the schedule will include information such as ticket prices, individual event information, and even the results from previous years making the Formula DRIFT site fan-friendly.
